WEEK 1: Ideas

1st Idea: Office-defence game (like the fnaf games), where you play as a bus driver surviving the night shift. Game is focused on managing any threats on board the bus while driving to each stop along your journey. You would be given the choice to not take on a new threat at each stop however this would reduce the amount earned each night. This effects the day time portion of the game, where you need to be able to provide for you family (e.g. Papers, Please). Low-poly 3D horror art-style (envisioning Buckshot Roulette type of look).
2nd Idea: Turn-based battle simulator rhythm game crossover. Game is focused on doing mini rhythm game charts to deal damage to opponents. During opponents turns you would have the opportunity to evade their attacks, with the correct timing and inputs. Potentially a rogue-like, however this aspect needs more work-shopping. Cartoony art style, player characters stand on dance pads and that's how they select menu options (e.g. attack, items, spells, etc.)
From the overall brainstorming process we decided to go with the 2nd idea as it seemed more appealing to us overall and could be a lot of fun in terms of design choices, such as what controllers we could use.
